Luke Donald Disappointed with Orlando Performance
Luke Donald looked unhappy and quite disappointed with his recent performance at the halfway stage of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic in Orlando, Florida, the last tournament, to realize his dream of becoming the first golfer to top both the money list for both the European and U.S. Tours. Donald needs to finish at least a share second place to overtake the current U.S. money race leader, Webb Simpson.
His recent score of 1-under par 71 is 5 shots behind the tournament leader. Donald trailed 3 other golfers at the Disney World Resort Golf Course. They are Justin Leonard, Bi-o Kim of South Korea and Henrik Stenson of Sweden.
Donald admitted his performance was dismal and in order for him to achieve the distinction of becoming the only golfer to top the European and U.S. money list, he needs to double time and play his best game for the remaining rounds of the tournament. Donald added the golf course is not the toughest one in the world; it’s just that he made a lot of bad shots.
If Donald wins the top plum for this tournament, Simpson can deny Donald the distinction by placing a solo second place finish. If Donald will finish a solo 2nd place, Simpson needs to finish at least 8th place to hold Donald off the distinction. On the other hand, a share 2nd place finish by Donald, will give Simpson a better chance of denying him the distinction by just finishing at least a 4-way 21st place finish to still top the U.S. money list.
