Madonna Takes A Fall During Her Brit Awards Performance
A backup dancer was supposed to pull a cape off Madonna during a musical performance at the Brit Awards. Instead, the queen of pop was pulled off her feet. Music fans were shocked as the 56-year-old star tumbled a number of steps during a live performance.
The singer went into the stage accompanied by a number of male dancers and seemed to mishandle the large cloak she wore. The cloak appeared to have been pulled from behind and the singer fell three steps in front of the shocked backup dancers, as shown on a video shown on Fox News.
However, the pop star later posted on Instagram that she was OK following the mishap.
The singer revealed that the cape was tied too tight on her. She added that nothing can stop her and love lifted her up. She also thanked the people who had good wishes for her and assured them that she was fine. The accident happened when the pop star was closing the Brit Awards in London by performing her hit song, “Living For Love.” The singer continued with the routine that seemingly embodied a lyric in the song about stumbling and getting up. The lyric continues with the phrase “I’m gonna carry on.”
