The last time Superman was able to build a franchise was when Christopher Reeve played the part in 1978. The 2006 movie was able to make around $200 million on the big screen. But, it was not quite appealing to comic book enthusiasts, who were not quite pleased with the movie.

A trilogy will be ensured if the latest movie will make at least $100 million during the weekend debut of the movie produced by Chris Nolan. However, the “Man of Steel” should be able to connect with the fans of the superhero.

The release of the “Man of Steel” also comes after the success of “The Avengers” of Disney, which made $624 million last year.
