Meredith Kercher Fatal Blow Came From Amanda Knox

Meredith Kercher supposedly died after Amanda Knox delivered the fatal blow on the UK student. This was indicated by the Italian judges who overturned the acquittal of Knox and her former Italian boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito.

The judges revealed that Kercher was killed by the former couple following a violent argument. The initial conviction of the former couple for the murder of Kercher came in 2007. However, they were acquitted following an appeal in 2011. The acquittal was later overturned last January.

Knox faces a 28-year and six-month sentence for the crime while her former boyfriend faces 25 years in prison. Know is currently in the United States. The Florence appeals court revealed that the wounds of Kercher gave indications that she faced a number of aggressors.

Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito may have used knives according to the judges as they explained the reason for the verdict. The victim may have been held down by Rudy Guede, who sexually assaulted the victim. Alessandro Nencini, presiding judge, indicated that the fatal blow came from Knox after she used a kitchen knife in hitting Meredith Kercher.

The original argument of the prosecution indicated that Kercher was killed following a sex game that went out of control. However, the appeals court indicated that the victim was killed following a violent argument. Money was the main reason for the argument that led to the death of Meredith Kercher.

Amanda Knox released a statement recently indicating that the reasoning of the court lacked logic and reliable evidence.

The latest decision is expected to be appealed by the former couple. The Court of Cassation, the highest court of Italy, is set to handle the trial and may sustain or reverse the verdict of the appeals court.

If the verdict is sustained, a lengthy extradition processed is expected to bring Amanda Knox back to Italy to serve her sentence.
