Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Bundled With Nvidia Graphics Card
Nvidia recently confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is being bundled with its 900-series graphics card. The deal initially emerged on Newegg near the start of the week. The deal also marks the re-emergence of Metal Gear Solid on the PC after it went off the radar for a decade.
A blog post from Nvidia revealed that the features and performance of GeForce GTX GPUs will benefit The Phantom Pain by enabling high-quality graphics and effects as well as extending view distances. The graphics card also offers a considerable improvement in rendering resolutions. The game can also benefit from Nvidia SHIELD GameStream and Nvidia Dynamic Super Resolution support offered by the graphics card.
However, industry watchers are cautious about the bundle since it takes over the Batman: Arkham Knight, which had some issues on the PC. A number of comments on the blog of Nvidia pointed out this issue when the company confirmed the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain bundle.
It can be recalled that Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear Solid, was removed from Konami, which also took out his name from the game. Due to this, the new bundle is as controversial as the old one. But, the company has been consistent in offering bundles for its products despite the recent issue with Batman: Arkham Knight. In contrast, the quality of the bundles offered AMD have not impressed a number of industry watchers.
Aside from the GTX 980 Ti, GTX 980, GTX 970, and GTX 960 cards, the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain bundle is also applicable for some GeForce GTX 980M and GTX 970M notebooks.
