Grammy-award winning Canadian singer and songwriter, Michael Buble is becoming the virtual Santa Claus for players of the popular Facebook game “CityVille.” Players of “CityVille” will be able to socialize with his personal avatar which talks and sings, as well as a holiday bonfire and presents that he himself would like under his own Christmas tree.

"CityVille" players will "see a different side of me in the game and also connect with me in a really personal way", Buble told Reuters.

“CityVille” is developed by the social network game company Zynga, allow players to create and personalize their own towns.

The singer is currently on his fourth week at the top of the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart with his holiday record “Christmas” which includes a selection of festive classics.

After the release of the album on October, sales boosted fending off competition from Rihanna, The Black Keys and Amy Winehouse, keeping him on the top spot of the album chart.

Buble said that he wanted his album to sound and feel authentic; he further added that no matter what a person's musical taste is, there is always room to enjoy a great holiday record.

"I don't really look at is as a contest against other artists or releases," said the Canadian singer, adding that he was "thrilled" with the public's enthusiastic response to it.

Earlier this year, Zynga has also collaborated with another American singer-songwriter, Lady Gaga who had her town called GagaVille on another famous game by Zynga, “Farmville.” The game featured unicorns, crystals and songs from her album “Born This Way”.
