Michael Douglas And Catherine Zeta Jones May Be Divorcing

What once seemed like an unbreakable marriage now appears to be something on the verge of ending as rumors of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones' divorce have surfaced. According to a recent report, the couple who has been married for 13 years and has two children together are taking some time apart.

Michael Douglas who is 68 years old and has had a hard battle with cancer just a couple of years ago is vacationing in Sardinia while his wife, Catherine Zeta Jones, who is 43 years old, is at their home in New York. The two haven't been photographed together since April 2013 while attending an event at the Lincoln Center in New York.

While neither of the two actors has yet filed for divorce, it seems Douglas had the sense to draft a prenuptial agreement after his first marriage ended with him paying a substantial $45 million to ex-wife Diandra Luker.

The couple was hit by the health issues they both had to deal with in the last couple of years. Douglas' battle with stage 4 throat cancer and Zeta-Jones' Bipolar disorder discovery in 2011.

The issues took their toll on the actors relationship and lead to the current emotional strain that might have caused the separation. Their two children Dylan and Carys aged 13 and 10 are the main concern of the couple, and regardless of the state of their marriage, will be looked after.
