Mike Tyson Reveals That He Lied About His Sobriety
Mike Tyson recently made an appearance on Fox Sports to discuss an upcoming series about his life. Although the former heavyweight champion appeared in high spirits compared to his situation around four years ago, he revealed that his life remains in a bad place.
He was also asked about his meeting with Teddy Atlas, his former assistant trainer. The two have not been in good terms for a good number of years. Tyson also revealed that he lied about his sobriety and was off alcohol and drug for only six days.
Although the former champion apologized to Atlas, he said it was not easy.
However, he added that he made the right decision in apologizing. He said that he made Cus D’Amato, his former trainer and mentor, proud. He also felt proud about what he did.
Mike Tyson said he wants to ask for forgiveness from the people he hurt. He also wants to forgive other people who hurt him. He said that it was necessary to change his life in order for other people to forgive him. He also said that it was not easy since he was a bad person, who did a lot of bad things.
