Miranda Kerr May Lose Angel Title At Victoria’s Secret
The contract of Miranda Kerr as a brand representative of Victoria’s Secret will reportedly not be renewed, according to sources within the industry.
A source hinted that the reputation of 30-year-old Kerr was challenging for the company, and due to this, the company will relieve her of the title as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
Miranda Kerr supposedly demanded a huge salary, according to an insider, which made it difficult for the lingerie company. Kerr, who is married to Orlando Bloom and has a son, supposedly also had numerous international commitments, the insider added.
The Australian supermodel was also not a good seller for Victoria’s Secret as compared to Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepol, another source within the industry revealed.
However, Miranda Kerr may not have to leave the company altogether since she may still be featured on the catalogue of Victoria’s Secret. She will not keep the Angel title and she will be receiving a day rate, the source indicated.
Although a representative from the lingerie brand din not deny or confirm reports that the company will not renew the $1 million contract with the supermodel from Australia, he denied reports about the difficult behavior of the supermodel.
The chief marketing officer of Victoria’s Secret, Ed Razek, did not make any statements in connection to reports that Kerr will not be keeping the Angel title. However, he denied reports that indicated that the supermodel acted like a diva.
He pointed out that Kerr is among the best models in the industry and is also considered among the most popular. He added that the Australian supermodel is a complete professional and all the reports about her supposed diva behavior were not true.
Razek also said that the company will continue to work with the supermodel. He indicated that Miranda Kerr will still become a part of the 2013 show of Victoria’s Secret.
