The Moto X of Motorola Mobility will reportedly provide customers the ability to select the colors on the trims and back of the device. This was the latest details that emerge in connection to the upcoming phone offering of Motorola.

Reports indicated that a name or message can be engraved by customers at the back cover of the device. Customers can also upload an image that can be utilized as the wallpaper of the display screen.

The upcoming device will use the Jelly Bean Android 4.2.2, which is the latest version of the operating system of Google. This does not come as a surprise to industry watchers since Motorola is a part of Google.

The smartphone is reportedly being tested by a number of mobile service providers, including Verizon Wireless. However, the Moto X of Motorola Mobility will not be the next Android flagship smartphone of Verizon.

Motorola and Verizon have yet to release statements in connection to the latest report about the Moto X.

Although a sign-up page was set up by Motorola for the upcoming smartphone, the company has not released any details about the device. However, the company revealed that customers will have the opportunity to customize their smartphones. An advertisement also shows that the phones of the company will be put together in the United States.

The device manufacturer indicated that over 2,000 new employees are expected to be hired for the factory that will produce the smartphones. The facility is located at in Fort Worth, Texas. By producing the smartphone in the US, the company will be able to bring the device into the hands of its clients a few days after they order the device.

Motorola has yet to gain a significant share in the market that is currently being dominated by Samsung and Apple. The Moto X will likely be the biggest chance for Motorola to increase its Android smartphone sales.
