MTV Movie Awards Have "Django Unchained" And "Ted" As Favorites

The upcoming MTV Movie Awards have Django Unchained and Ted as the top nominees for this years edition.

Both movies have received seven nominations and actress Jennifer Lawrence got five including the much coveted best female performance for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook".

She is also nominated for best kiss and best on-screen duo as well as best musical number along side co-star Bradley Cooper.

Seth MacFarlane, who had his share of movie glory as he hosted the Oscars just a week ago is nominated for four awards including best shirtless performance.

The ceremony will be hosted by Rebel Wilson, the star of "Pitch Perfect" and "Bridesmaids". The winners will receive the famous golden popcorn statuettes.

Another popular category at the MTV Movie Awards is best villain, which will have Leonardo DiCaprio for his controversial role in “Django Unchained” go up against Tom Hardy and Marion Cotillard for their “Dark Knight” performance and Javier Bardem for his role as antagonist to the legendary British spy James Bond in “Skyfall”.

This year will also include a new category, called scared-as-s**t, that celebrates the best performance in down right terrifying moments.

The MTV Movie Awards nominees for this new category are Jennifer Lawrence for her role in “House at the End of the Street” Jessica Chastain for “Zero Dark Thirty"  and Martin Freeman for “The Hobbit”.
