My Chemical Romance Call It Quits

My Chemical Romance broke up last Friday, putting the lid on what has been an amazing 12 year career. During their time together the band has made some of the most over the top, dramatic, and popular rock and roll in the last decade.

Fans are of course distraught, however, they still have the band’s four studio albums to cling on too, along with two live records and a host of some of the most over the top music videos that have surfaced in the last 12 years.

The band wasn't modest by a mile, they dared to dream big, and most of the times they managed to do what they set out to. My Chemical Romance was born as a direct result of the 9/11 attacks, when front man Gerard Way decided that the only way to change the world was through music.

And they never shied away from that goal playing all their venues to the max, and making meaningful, message packed music, that no doubt touched a lot of people.

The band didn't have an exaggerated break-up, causing a scandal, but rather, they politely announced the sad news through their website.

While the band is over, My Chemical Romance’s songs are surely going to touch a lot more people in the future.
