Nancy Motes, Julia Roberts’ Half Sister Commits Suicide

Nancy Motes, 37, Julia Roberts’ half-sister committed suicide, leaving behind a five-page letter explaining her decision as well as her relationship with the Hollywood actress.

An unconfirmed source said that three of the pages left behind by Motes were “rants” on how her sister’s actions drove her to commit suicide. One other page was destined to her mother, telling her how much she loved her and what a positive influence she has been in her life while the last page was an apology letter to her fiancé John Dilbeck.

Her fiancé was actually the one that discovered Motes’ body, in a water filled bathtub at her residence in Los Angeles around 2 P.M. this Sunday. According to police officers, she could have been dead for up to 12 hours before Dilbeck found her body. An unconfirmed report cites the cause of death as a pill overdose.

Motes had a difficult relationship with her half-sister after giving an interview last year where she accused the Hollywood beauty of denying her access to their sick mother. In the days leading up to her suicide, Motes posted several harsh Twitter messages addressed to her half-sister, where she accused her of being cruel, a poor actress, and even resorted to calling her some less pleasant names.

Julia Roberts has yet to address the subject however, a press representative released a formal message where she expressed her shock at her half-sisters apparent drug overdose.
