Natalie Portman’s Odd Bridal Dress

Natalie Portman has always worn breath-taking gowns by Rodarte during the special events in her career. So when the time came that she has to marry the dancer Benjamin Millepied, she once again turned to a fashion label that is lead by her friends, sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy.

The result was a conservative, simple and somewhat understated gown that seems to fit well in the overall mood of the wedding.

Most Hollywood actresses want to have their wedding dress extra special, but as for Natalie Portman, it is different. The 31-year-old actress showed up wearing plain white, A-line style, tea length dress that has a layered bottom. A complete overlay covers her chest and arms. In addition, she also wears a veil, a white floral crown and nude-colored shoes.

The wedding ceremony lasts for 45 minutes under the moonlight. Portman’s Jewish faith was shown with the prayer shawl, chuppah that is made of twigs and her guests cheering “Mazel Tov!”

Macaulay Culkin and Ivanka Trump, together with one hundred members of the family and friends, were present at the reception. It was held at a private residence where they served vegan dishes that was personally chosen by Portman.
