New Features Released To WhatsApp for iOS

A new feature on WhatsApp for iOS will allow videos to be included in the chat backups of users. The latest update also enhanced the design in cropping images and videos. It also allows Apple Maps to be used for location sharing. Data usage can also be reduced by users when the application is utilized in making calls. This can be done by going to settings then chats and calls.

Previous messages will be loaded automatically as users go through their chats. Notifications for individual chats can also be customized by the users as well as mute noisy chats. Chats can also be marked as read or unread by a simple swipe to the right.

The Contacts app also allows users to share their contacts with other users and locations shown on Apple Maps can be shared to other users of the application. Locations shared will be displayed as a large-sized thumbnail on the application. While these features were already rolled out for WhatsApp for iOS, the Android version has yet to receive them.
