The famous locks of Jared Leto are already a thing of the past as the actor cut in for the role he plays in the “Suicide Squad.” The “Dallas Buyers Club” actor will take on the role of the Joker in the movie, which is expected to be released next year. Following the reports that the Oscar-winning actor cut off his hair, his name immediately became a trend of Twitter.

The transformation of the actor was recorded by David Ayers through his Twitter account. The actor also teased his fans through his Instagram account as he wrote “Going, going . ..” on the social network last Saturday.

On Sunday, the actor posted an old picture when he still had a short and spiky hairstyle. He indicated that he was never popular and was always looking in from the outside.

On the day he was supposed to have a haircut, Ayers posted a black and white picture showing the ponytail of Jared Leto next to a pair of scissors with the caption, “Should we?” In the next eight hours, the picture was liked by nearly 7,000 people.

After around four hours, Leto revealed that he was already missing his beard, which means the 43-year-old actor will have a cleaner appearance in the upcoming movie. The clean-shaven look of the Leto was shared by Ayers through an artistic image of the actor. It had a simple caption saying “#SuicideSquad.” The new look of the actor made it seem as if he did not age ever since his role in the television series “My So-Called Life” where he played Jordan. A number of fans started to tweet their thoughts about the new hairstyle of the Jared Leto after reports that he cut his hair started to emerge.
