New medical report Enrages Strauss-Kahn’s team
New York - Defense lawyers of the accused Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former IMF chief, disputed the medical report indicating that the alleged assault victim suffered injuries due to “rape”. Magazine L’Express reported on Tuesday the whole content of the said medical file from the alleged victim who undergone a medical examination in New York City shortly after the May 14 incident took place. The content stated that the cause of the injuries inflicted to the victim: assault with rape.
The lawyer representing the victim said the new medical report proves that the alleged attack by Strauss-Kahn indeed occurred. But lawyers of the alleged suspect, former IMF chief, countered the medical report by saying the report is very deceitful and misleading because it was grounded on the account of the plaintiff.
The plaintiff or the complainant is Nafissatou Diallo, a 32 year old hotel maid and is a Guinea native. Diallo has alleged Strauss-Kahn, 62 year old former IMF chief, who assaulted her in the defendant’s luxury suite room on May 14 at a Sofitel hotel. The report included a description of how Diallo told the doctors at a hospital in New York City the full details of how she was forcibly asked to perform oral sex after Strauss-Kahn vehemently grabbed her crotch inflicting so much pain on her. Diallo’s struggle also has injured her shoulder.
Diallo’s lawyer boldly said that the medical records are indeed very powerful and forensics are proven accurate and don’t lie. The defense team however invalidated the claims and said that there was consent on the part of Diallo before the actual alleged indecent assault.
