Next Droid Smartphone To Be Launched By Verizon

Verizon released invitations for a Manhattan media event hinting at the launch of a number of Droid smartphones. The event hosted by the mobile service provider based in New Jersey will be held on October 27. The company indicated that everything people expect from smartphones will change.

The smartphones are the latest flagship devices set to enter a market that is already crowded after a number of devices made their debut in the last two months. Apple, Microsoft and Google launched or introduced their own smartphone offerings recently.

Droid devices were the flagship Android-powered smartphones in the past. However, the entry of other smartphone manufacturers stole the thunder from the Motorola devices. The HTC One and the Galaxy S smartphones of Samsung are among the more prominent Android-powered smartphones in the market today. Despite this, a number of Verizon customers remain loyal to the Motorola devices.

The Droid smartphones focus on offering high-end features along with a long battery life. A page was set up by Motorola to provide customers more information about the devices.
