Nextbit Robin Available For Preorders
Preorders for the Nextbit Robin smartphone are already being accepted following the end of the Kickstarter campaign of the company.
The smartphone features an internal storage of 32GB, but its main selling point is the 100GB cloud space given to users of the device. As more space in the internal storage is used, the smartphone automatically moves apps and data that are hardly used into the cloud. It essentially deletes the apps and data from the smartphone and transfers them into a cloud, similar to Google Drive. The apps and data are readily-accessible whenever the user needs them on the device.
Preorder price for the Nextbit Robin smartphone is at $399, which is $100 higher than its price for Kickstarter supporters. The device is expected to be delivered to its users by February 2016. The smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch display screen with a 1080p resolution, Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM and NFC. The bands of the device can support the four major US-based carriers.
Nextbit has a number of hardware experts from HTC and Google in its team. But, consumers may also consider getting a Nexus 5X, which is priced at $379. Google offers support and updates for the Nexus 5X. On the other hand, the Nexus 6P, which is more expensive than the Nextbit Robin smartphone, has a price tag of $499.
