Nicolas Cage to star in Alaskan Serial Killer Film
Anchorage, Alaska — Nicolas Cage, an award winning Hollywood actor, was chosen to be a part of the upcoming movie Frozen Ground. The movie is about Alaska’s notorious murderer and rapist who killed 17 women and raped another 30 women in just a span of 12 years.
Robert Hansen, the serial killer, was convicted in 1984 to a 461 years imprisonment. The Alaska Trooper who was the key to the capture and conviction of Hansen was Glenn Flothe. It is not yet clear if Nicolas Cage will play the role of Flothe since there are many trooper roles in the movie.
Out of the 17 women Hansen admittedly killed, only 12 bodies were found and recovered while the other 5 were not yet found even up to now.
The filming of the movie will commence in the 10th of October while the major part will be scheduled before the end of the year. $27 million is the estimated cost of the whole movie production. The movie will be produced by Amber Entertainment under the direction of Emmett Films.
Secret to his wife and children, Hansen’s other life was such a mystery to his family. Hansen was a bakery owner in a mini mall in downtown Anchorage in the 70s to 80s. Pimps and prostitutes flocked over Anchorage in the 70s during the construction of a major pipeline known as the trans-Alaska. Hansen was found guilty of raping dozens of women for as many as 30 which includes visiting prostitutes. He abducts women and raped them in an isolated place, some of them were killed and some survived.
