O. Magic Promises Reward For Fans That Guess Draft Lottery
The Orlando Magic announced they will hand out a $100,000 prize to fans that can guess every lottery pick in the upcoming draft. Orlando Magic has the fourth and 12th picks in the 2014 draft and offered the prize to anyone who can predict the order in which the names will be extracted during the 26th of June draft that will be held in New York at the Madison Square Garden.
This is not the first time a prize like this was offered with the St. Louis Rams offering the same sum in the offseason to anyone who would be able to guess their team’s complete 2014 schedule with each week’s opponent, location and date. Needless to say nobody won that contests, however, St. Louis fans seemed to enjoy the contest.
The challenge set out by Orlando Magic is far more plausible and can actually be won. The rules of contest specify that fans can submit only one try in which they must correctly guess the order in which the players will be drafted. The team they will eventually end up with is not important in the competition. Fans must also get the spelling of the players names correct if they are to win and with names like Kristaps Porzingis and Jusuf Nurkic in the running for first round picks correct spelling may prove harder than it sounds.
