Obama’s Approval Ratings Plunges
Washington - The approval rating of Barack Obama, the President of the United States has surged down to an all-time low at 26% in a poll released by Gallup Wednesday after the recent fight in the U.S. Congress about the spending of the country. More people from the American Public have doubted the ability of President Barack Obama in properly handling the economic crisis in the United States.
71% of the American Public has strongly disapproved Barack Obama's handling of the U.S. economy. The current 71% is up by 11% compared to the 60% last May survey. Americans who approved his leadership also fell by 11 %, from 37% last May to 26% currently.
Obama also fared badly in other economic issues included in the survey. Only 24% of the American Public approved his handling of the U.S. federal budget deficit while 29% approved Obama's efforts to generate more jobs in the ailing U.S. economy.
The Gallup poll came just 2 weeks after President Barack Obama and the U.S. Congress both agreed to cut the United States federal spending after careful deliberations in an effort to prevent a possible debt default of the country from major credit rating agencies. Obama's handling over the Afghanistan war also has surged down to 38 %. The recent crash of a U.S. military helicopter in Afghanistan that killed 30 American troops, might possibly had affected his current ratings among fellow Americans.
