Olivia Munn To Play Psylocke In X-Men: Apocalypse
Director Bryan Singer recently announced through Instagram that Olivia Munn will become a part of the cast of the upcoming movie, “X-Men: Apocalypse.” The follow-up to "X-Men: Days of Future Past” is set to be shown next year, and Munn will play the role of Psylocke.
Singer revealed that Munn will play Betsy Braddock. The character supposedly shows the period before the twist in the plot wherein Psylocke changed from a former Caucasian supermodel into a Japanese ninja. “X-Men: Apocalypse” is currently in production and is set to be released in the summer of 2016.
Psylocke was created in the comic book by Herb Trimpe and Chris Claremont for the Captain Britain series. She initially entered the comic book world from the 1970s until the 1980s. She joined the X-Men in issue no 213 of the “Uncanny X-Men” in 1987. The character became a mainstay of the main group as well as two spinoff series, “X-Force” and “Exiles.”
The movie already has Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in its cast. It is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 27, 2016. Atlas Artists and Creative Artists Agency are currently representing Olivia Munn.
