Pacquiao Stays Silent While Marquez Complains

It is not new that Juan Manuel Marquez has been complaining about that the judges making a mistake in their decisions during the previous three encounters they had with Manny Pacquiao. It led to the conception of the fourth fight on December 8, 2012.

Marquez has always wanted to face Pacquiao rematch after rematch to prove that the results were wrong. When he came to the Philippines he openly confided his ill feelings to the media of being robbed by the judges’ decisions.

Pacquiao believed that bad decisions of the judges are part of the sport and should be accepted as they are. Win or lose, their decisions should be admitted no matter how harsh the verdicts are.

“If you compare my fight to the Bradley fight, I think it’s worse – the Bradley fight. But I never complained,” Pacquiao was quoted by Boxing Scene. “Did you hear from me, from my mouth, that I’m complaining that I lose the fight? I never complained. That’s part of the sport.”

Pacquiao experienced one of the worst decisions in boxing history when he was beaten by split decision to Timothy Bradley, and lose his WBO welterweight title.
“To me it’s no longer important if the WBO would not overturn the decision of the judges,” Pacquiao said. “The truth has come out and boxing fans got the justice they deserve.”

When asked about his reaction regarding Marquez’s bigger physique, Pacquiao simply ignored the size disadvantage. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s bigger than me. I can be like that also if I want. I’ve been fighting a bigger guy so it’s no big deal to me,” he said as quoted by The Journal.
