Patriots’ Aaron Hernandez Charged With Murder
Aaron Hernandez, the New England Patriots tight end was charged with the murder of his friend Odin Lloyd in an industrial park close to Hernandez’s residence.
The reason behind Odin Lloyd’s murder seems to be a disagreement between the two after they went out to a nightclub several days ago.
Odin Lloyd who was 27 years old was a Boston semi-pro football player and the boyfriend of Hernandez’ fiancée’s sister.
The New England Patriots reacted quickly to the news and just two hours after the announcement was made Hernandez was cut from the team.
Authorities said that Lloyd and Hernandez were friends, and that the two were definitely together on Lloyds last night.
Prosecutors said that Hernandez picked Lloyd from his residence on June 17 after some security cameras caught the NFL tight end leaving his home with a weapon just hours earlier.
After seeing how upset Hernandez was, Lloyd texted his sister to confirm that he is out with the NFL star. The messages ended at about 3:22 a.m. with “just in case”.
Between the hours of 3:23 amd 3:27, people working at the industrial park where Lloyd’s body was found reported gunshots.
Aaron Hernandez’ lawyer asked for bail saying that his client is a homeowner and that there is no risk of him fleeing.
