Peyton Manning Owns Up To The Loss To The Patriots

Peyton Manning owned up to the loss of the Denver Broncos against the New England Patriots during their game on Sunday night.

The Broncos quarterback took the blame as he said they were not able to do the things they wanted to do on offense, and it started with him. He added that he had to play better, and when the quarterback is not playing well, the team will not win many games.

Manning revealed that he threw a number of hot coals as the Denver Broncos went down 43-21 at the Gillette Stadium.

Peyton Manning said that Dave Logan told him he never heard the quarterback say he stink before. He added that although he does not make excuses, it does not happen every now and then. Manning had two touchdowns and a pair of interceptions as he passed 34 of 57 for a total of 438 yards.

While an NFL record was set for career 400-yard passing games, he was not relieved with the achievement. He is already at 5-11 against Tom Brady and the Patriots with 2 of 8 games played in Foxborough. He added he needed to play better.

Denver led New England, 7-6, on a first-and-10 at the 35-yard line. However, a pass by Manning to Demaryius Thomas was intercepted by Rob Ninkovich, who returned the ball to the five-yard line of Denver. The next play saw the Patriots taking the lead at 13-7. The second quarter ended with a 27 to 7 lead by the New England Patriots.

The Broncos quarterback gave credit to Ninkovich, who was at the right place at the right time. Peyton Manning added that the throw was bad football for him. He said it was a bad decision and it was a throw that he wanted to get back.
