Pottermore.com Redesigned To Show The Potter Family History

The Potter family history was posted on the pottermore.com website of J.K. Rowlings after the site was redesigned recently. The history includes the origins of the family in the 12th century.

The website indicated that revelations are made on how the Potter family name originated through new writing from the author of the Harry Potter series. It also looks into the ancestry of Harry Potter and discusses how the family fortune was increased by his grandfather. It also gives an idea on how the family acquired the Invisibility Cloak as an heirloom.

The website also contains more content and was designed to be used differently compared to the time when it was unveiled in 2012. The redesigned website serves as the digital heart of the Wizarding World of the author. It offers numerous features, articles and commentary about the series as well as the Wizarding World as a whole.

The new website was also designed to facilitate mobile access and sharing through various social networks. It will also feature reports from the Pottermore Correspondent, which is dedicated in providing the most recent updates on everything that happens in the Wizarding World. Future plans include reports on the upcoming movie, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” which is based on the original screenplay of J.K Rowling. The correspondent will also provide reports on “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” a stage play that will open in 2016 in London.

CEO Susan Jurevics said the magical universe is continuously being expanded by the author. With the expansion of the Wizarding World, Pottermore will also expand. Fans are expected to be captivated by the story of the family of Harry Potter and the author. It simply shows that the writing of J.K. Rowling is the heart of the redesigned website. Since mandatory registration was removed, fans can easily access all the areas of the website. The responsive design also optimizes viewing through a good number of devices. Jurevics added that the new pottermore.com website is designed to awaken and inspire the imagination of its visitors.
