President Barack Obama To Explain ISIS Attack

United States President Barack Obama announced he will present the strategy that will lead to the destruction of terrorist organization ISIS also known as The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. During a television speech President Obama announced that US military forces will increase air strikes in Syria while also upping support for non-Islamic State rebels. Secretary of State John Kerry has been in the Middle East trying to form a strong coalition to battle ISIS.

ISIS has managed to get control over huge parts of Syria and Iraq in what was considered a well-organized and speedy series of attacks. The group even started running a form of government from Raqqa and has employed several administrators and other similar figures.

The group’s soldiers have gained world notoriety for their brutal, almost sadistic violence and beheadings. The main targets of the filmed beheadings were Western journalists and a series of Iraqi and Syrian soldiers.

Barack Obama also added that he will authorize extra aid for the Iraqi military in the sum of $25 million. The President said that the mission will be to “degrade and destroy” ISIS through a well-planned and sustained counter terrorism offensive that will rely on U.S. air strength and allied interventions on the ground. He also added that American troops will not be fighting on the ground like in previous missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
