Reality TV’s Kate Gosselin Sues Ex Husband
Kate Gosselin famous from her TLC reality show “Jon and Kate plus 8” filed a lawsuit in Philadelphia against her ex-husband Jon Gosselin. She accuses her ex-husband that he hacked her computer and stole very personal files that helped him gather material for a book about her, called “Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World” written by Robert Hoffman.
The lawsuit accuses Jon Gosselin of hacking into his ex-wife’s phone and e-mail, and of stealing a hard drive from their shared residence, a hard drive which contained personal information. He is also accused of hacking into Kate’s bank account.
The accusations also say that he then gave the stolen content to his friend Robert Hoffman with the direct intention of damaging Kate’s public image. The book was published but taken down from major distribution sites because the data used to write the book was obtained illegally.
Jon and Kate Gosselin became famous for their reality show in which they starred with their 8 children, a pair of twins and their sextuplets. They separated in 2009 and divorced soon after, ending a 10 year old marriage.
After describing their current relation as “civil” and talking about how they communicate by texting, both Jon and Kate Gosselin could become media stars again with the new lawsuit.
