Record Label Of Katy Perry Lands Its First Artist
The record label launched by Katy Perry signed its very first artist recently. Metamorphosis Music will be collaborating with the current record label of the pop singer, Capital Records.
The first artist Metamorphosis Music signed is Ferras Alqisi, who released a self-titled EP through iTunes recently. Perry was the executive producer of the five-track EP of the singer/songwriter. The EP also features “Legends Never Die,” a duet between Perry and Ferras.
Ferras shared the news of becoming the first artist to sign up for the record label of the pop singer through Instagram.
Ferras revealed through Instagram that he has finally signed up with Metamorphosis Music, the record label of Katy Perry. He also said he is happy to share his EP, which was released into the market recently.
Ferras worked hard to succeed in the industry. He went to the Berklee College of Music before being discovered by Fred Durst, lead singer of Limp Bizkit. In 2007, the industry newcomer signed up with Capital Records, which resulted to his meeting with the pop singer.
Perry revealed that Ferras can be considered as a man carrying a message along with a distinctive and poetic way of providing the message based on his own perspective of life. He connects listeners to each note whenever they listen to his music. The pop star revealed that she believes Ferras will become important artist in the near future.
The solid working relationship between Perry and Ferras consists of admiration and constructive criticism.
Ferras said the instincts of Perry are accurate and she is frank. He also appreciates the fact that the pop star does not sweeten things up. He was also given the freedom by Perry on the things he wanted to do with his music.
Ferras will be a part of the opening act of the North American leg of the Prismatic World tour of Katy Perry, which will start on June 22.
