Rematch Between Ronda Rousey And Cat Zingano May Be Coming

Even as Ronda Rousey easily defeated Cat Zingano in their match last Saturday during UFC 184, it appears that the MMA star may provide her opponent a rematch. Rousey revealed that she is looking forward to a rematch with Zingano after defeating her formerly undefeated opponent in record time.

Rousey, who currently has an 11-0 record, used an armbar to finish ZIngano within 14 seconds. It was the shortest UFC fight on record. The result also made her fight against Alexis Davis, which ended in 16 seconds, the third-shortest in the history of the UFC.

Following the end of the match, Rousey approached Zingano, who was kneeling on the canvas. Ronda asked her previously undefeated opponent what she was thinking at that particular moment.

Ronda Rousey reportedly told Zingano that they should go up against each other again since she deserved to have another shot. She added that there are some fights that go that way and she was lucky to have a good amount of judo experience. Rousey also said that there are some instances when she would walk out into the octagon and immediately get dumped on her head.

Rousey further revealed that she does not mean that she should not have been in the fight in the first place or the other person should have won. She also said that she knows the feeling as well as the capabilities of Zingano. She definitely would like to see more of her capabilities, Rousey indicated.

On the other hand, Zingano said that there are some things in life that people may not achieve at their first try, and they need to do it a number of times before they can succeed. However, a number of fans would like to see a match between Ronda Rousey and Christiane “Cyborg” Justino, who disposed of Charmaine Tweet in 46 second on Friday at Invicta FC 12. But, Justino was fighting at 145 pounds, which means she has to shed 10 pounds before she can go up against Rousey, according to UFC president Dana White.

White revealed that Justino has to “make the weight.” He added that Rousey can fight her as soon as she goes down to 135 pounds.

Rousey also revealed her admiration for the effort of Zingano, who had to go through a personal loss and some hardship. This means a rematch may increase the visibility of Zingano at the octagon. On the other hand, Rousey had some disparaging remarks about Justino. Ronda Rousey indicated that she was looking forward to a match against Justno, but described her as being “injured” or was taking too many steroids that she cannot make the weight.
