Royce White And The Sacramento Kings May Sign Deal

While no deal has been signed as of yet, rumors have appeared that 22-year-old Royce White and the Sacramento Kings may sign a 10-day contract. News spread after White had an intense work-out session with the Kings.

White was drafter 16th overall back in 2012 by the Houston Rockets from his home state of Iowa. He had a hard time managing his NBA success especially due to his well established anxiety disorder.  The main issue with his condition is his fear of flying, which is a harder problem to solve than in the NCAA, especially when considering the busy NBA schedule.

If the rumors turn out to be true, White could play against the Los Angeles Lakers this Friday in LA, two home games against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Ne Orleans Pelicans Saturday and Monday and even a seven game East Coast trip afterwords.

White, who harshly criticized Rockets officials due to their lack of support for his condition was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in August 2013. Things didn’t improve much for White who was cut three months after the trade, never playing a single NBA game for the Philadelphia team.

He has since played in the NBA Development League for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers averaging a less than impressive 11.4 points with 3.3 assists and 5.7 rebounds.
