The tribute of Gosling was described as a “fitting send-off” by McHenry’s friend, Naysun Alae-Carew. Gosling recently acknowledged the vines, which made McHenry happy. He said in the video that seventeen small tumors were removed from one lung. Although he was thinking about a lot of videos to make while he was in the hospital and wanted to wait until he went home, he was able to convince some friends to bring the equipment into the hospital. He also made another video showing Leonardo Di Caprio falling after he was offered cereal. Since he still had a scar from the operation, his friends held up the spoon. The friends of the filmmaker created a page in his memory to accept donations for Sarcoma UK, a cancer charity. His friends said the page was an appropriate way to honor the life of Ryan McHenry since it provided a positive impact on the people who are currently suffering from the disease.
