Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge+ Unveiled

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ were unveiled recently by the device manufacturer from South Korea. While the two devices feature the same 5.7-inch display screen, they also have a number of differences including the color options available. The display screen of S6 Edge+ also wraps around the edges of the device.

The latest large-sized screen devices are considered as the company’s attempt at luring back its customers, who have opted to acquire other Android devices as well as the iPhone of Apple. The company also provided details on its plans of launching its own mobile payment service, Samsung Pay. It also teased its next smartwatch offering.

The 5.7-inch screen display of the Edge+ curves along its edges. It shares the same sleek glass-and-metal design with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which is a departure from the plastic devices the company used to produce in the past. The move to use premium materials started with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, which were released into the market this year.

Samsung mobile division head JK Shin said large screens are ideal for moving between important files and emails as well as scrolling through different photos. It is also ideal for watching movies and accessing social media.

The Note 5 and Edge+ are set to be released into the North American market by August 21. The price tags for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are $200 and $300, respectively. Both price tags require a mobile service contract.
