Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook Launch Set On August 20

Samsung Electronics and Barnes & Noble are set to host an event on August 20 to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook. A Barnes The event will be held at the Barnes & Noble outlet in Union Square, New York City.

The two companies joined forces last June to create a device that merges the hardware offerings of Samsung and software application of Barnes & Noble. The companies revealed the seven-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook is set to be released into the United States by August. The event on August will kick off a number of events hosted by Samsung. The latest “Unpacked” smartphone launch of the South Korean manufacturer will be held a couple weeks after the event.

The “Unpacked” event will be held in multiple cities across the world, including New York, Berlin and Beijing. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be unveiled during the event.

The upcoming events of Samsung come as it faces uncertainty in the mobile market with the emergence of low-cost mobile devices. These devices put pressure on the position of the company in a number of regions, including China. Sales of its tablets have also declined as consumers wait for the release of the latest device before they upgrade. Some consumers have opted to acquire large-sized smartphones instead of small-size tablets. Samsung aims to increase its market share with the release of its latest devices.

On the other hand, Barnes & Noble has ended its hardware design venture when it announced the deal with Samsung. Although the company is still offering the Nook GlowLight in the market, it will limit its support for existing Nook devices in the market. Samsung will take care of the hardware side of the development while Barnes & Noble will focus on content and software sales.
