Shawna Thompsons quits After 15 years with Music City

Nashville, Tenn. — Shawna Thompson has decided to quit and now ready to go home. After a near 15 years of dreary showcases, singing in dives, many near misses, soul-sucking jobs, worried sleeplessness, tears and all those chasing that almost pushed Thompson to the edge, she decided it’s about time to give up on Music City. Shawna said she can’t take it anymore and it is what she told her heart. It is one of the most defining moments for the couple Kiefer and Shawna Thompson.

There were moments in the past where one was firm on not giving up while the other one was about to give up already.  But it seems today; Shawna is firm in her decision and is very ready to go home in defeat.  Kiefer Thompson, her husband, could always remember the last time he said: give it 1 more year. He felt it in his bones and that was the last time Kiefer could utter those words.

This time, Kiefer is right. After deciding to give it 1 more year, they got a record deal 2 months after. They even released their debut self-titled album thereafter, been with Jason Aldean on tour and received award nominations. They were there at the peak of their dreams. But suddenly, all those images just blurred out and there’s no turning back. The Thompson Square has failed together and decided to quit the music scene.
