Shocking News As Hello Kitty Is Revealed To Not Be A Cat
Today’s news shocked millions of fans, both young and old by reveling that one of the most beloved toys in the world, a true cultural symbol is not what most of its fans believed it was. The popular Hello Kitty doll was revealed to not be in fact a kitty. Christine R. Yano, an anthropologist at the University of Hawaii and one of the world’s foremost experts in Hello Kitty revealed the shocking truth about the beloved doll.
Yano said she learned the news directly from the source, meaning Sanrio, the Japanese company that released the toy back in 1974. According to Yano, Hello Kitty is a cartoon character, a little girl, a friend anything but a cat as she is never seen to walk on all fours or exhibit any sort of feline behavior.
In fact, as most fans already know, Hello Kitty has a pet of her own, a little kitty called Charmmy Kitty. Since its release exactly 40 years ago, the doll has worked its way into the fabric of world culture, becoming an icon and generating billions of dollars in revenue for Sanrio.
The news left even famous fans of the doll shocked as Linkin Park member Mike Shinoda expressed his confusion over twitter. He said the news of Hello Kitty not being a cat is worse than finding out Pluto was in fact not a planet.
