Siri May Receive Updates With Release Of iOS 9

The iOS 9 is set to be officially unveiled by Apple during the Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8. The company declined to provide any details on the new features of the next version of the mobile operating system for the iPhone and iPad.

Despite the secrecy, reports have indicated that the voice assistant of Apple for the iPhone and iPad will have a similar color theme as the one found on the Apple Watch. The Siri currently loaded on the iPhone and iPhone has a straightforward black-and-white design. In contrast, the voice assistant installed on the Apple Watch has a more inviting appearance with the colors splashed into the screen.

While no details were revealed on possible upgrades on Siri, industry watchers are expecting the voice assistant on the iOS 9 to receive more features than what can be seen from the outside. Since it was unveiled in 2011, the application received a number of updates through the years. However, Apple is expected to provide Siri with more features with the increasing number of competitors in the market. The current version of Siri is limited to answering questions and facilitating some tasks. However, Cortana has more features than the voice assistant of Apple.
