Sony Xperia Z1s Available Through T-Mobile

T-Mobile is the exclusive distributor of the Sony Xperia Z1s smartphone, the latest smartphone offering of Sony in the US market.

The mobile service provider also revealed that the smartphone featuring a waterproof coating and 20.7MP camera will be available in twenty-four $22 monthly payments through the Simple Choice Plan of the company. The smartphone offers a five-inch 1080p Full HD screen display, quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor from Qualcomm, 2GB RAM, 2MP camera in front, microSD memory card slot, and 3000mAh battery.

The smartphone also features a fitness tracker networking protocol, NFC, and 4G LTE support. It runs on the Android 4.3 operating system, which may be upgraded in the future.

Five camera applications are pre-loaded into the Sony Xperia Z1s. The Info-eye application finds information about wine bottles, books and other items after scanning them. The Background defocus will allow users to modify the depth of field on their photos. The Augmented Reality or AR effect allows users to add special effects, such as glasses, costumes, or flowers, into photos. The Timeshift burst application allows users to take sixty successive shots and allow them to select the best image. The last application that is pre-loaded in the device is the Social live application allows users to broadcast live videos through Facebook.

Six free movies, ten pre-selected PlayStation Mobile games, and a sixty-day free Music Unlimited trial are also offered by Sony for owners of the device. The movies can be downloaded through the Video Unlimited service of the company. Among the movies that are available for download is Captain Phillips.

Games can also use the PlayStation application on the device that will allow them to connect the Sony Xperia Z1s into their PS4 and use it as a secondary display.
