Special K Recall Implemented By The Kellogg Company

Due to the possible risk of glass fragments, a Special K recall was implemented by the Kellogg Company for some of the packages of the cereal.

A number of 37-ounce and 11.2-ounce packages of the Special K Red Berries cereal were recalled by the company. The recall also included some 22.4-ounce packs. A statement was issued by the company on its website informing consumers to check the packages they have at home. They were asked not to eat the products that were included in the Special K recall of the company.

The company also revealed that they are already working on retrieving the product for evaluation.

Among the Special K Red Berries cereal products included in the list were the 37-ounce package with the 3800078356 UPC code, the 11.2-ounce package with a 3800059923 code, and the 22.4-ounce package with the 3800078356 UPC code. These products have an expiration date that ranged from November 30, 2013 up to December 2, 2013.

The company revealed that no reports of anyone getting injured due to the products involved prior to the recall of some Special K Red Berries cereal products.

Kellogg Company also indicated that the safety and quality of the food that they offer to consumers is their main priority. It added that all of the procedures will be carefully reviewed and suitable actions will be undertaken to avoid a similar incident in the future. This statement comes as the company continues to implement the Special K recall.
