State-of-the-art Ghost Town Soon to Rise at New Mexico

Albuquerque, N. M. — A science ghost town has been planned to be built in New Mexico. This U.S. state is famous for being the country’s premier site for nuclear, scientific and military explorations. Now, a new science project will be built in a 20 square mile area to simulate a small U.S. city.

The newest ghost town will be used to test renewable energy sources to everything including hi-tech wireless networks, intelligent and modern traffic systems, and smart cyber security systems. A technology company based in Washington, D.C. will spearhead the whole project. The replica city will have complete roads and highway system, commercial establishments and houses. It will be modeled based from a typical U.S. town with a population of 35,000 inhabitants. No one will actually live in the replica city.

Bob Brumley, CEO of Pegasus Global Holdings, said that the whole project costs $200 million and will be named as “The Center”. The science project will be the first of its kind in the whole United States of America. The project will be helpful in studying new innovations for upgrading American cities to become greener, more livable and with sustainable renewable energy sources but still with a world class and modern atmosphere. The area will also be used to facilitate future research and advanced studies of some state universities, military installations and federal labs.
