Stephanie Meyer’s “The Host” Premieres March 29th

Stephanie Meyer, author of the incredibly popular "Twilight" saga, is about to premiere her new, more futuristic idea as “The Host” hits movie screens across the country March 29th.

The movie will be directed by Andrew Niccol of "Gattaca" fame and it will introduce a new species of aliens that invade the earth and possess human bodies while whipping their memories.

With the population of the world diminished to just a few survivors, the movie will focus on the story of two young adults that want to find a way to fight back. The movie will star Saoirse Ronan and Max Irons as the main characters.

In an interview Ronan said that its really exciting to see the large number of young people that have read the book and are now interested in the movie. She also said that it’s the first movie she’s worked on that has such a huge hype around it, even before the movie premiered.

Max Irons, Jeremy Irons’ son, didn't think he would ever get the part but now that he’s here he can definitely be a worthy match for Robert Pattinson in the heartthrob department.

Stephanie Meyer also wanted Niccol and no one else to direct "The Host", and said that differently from the "Twilight" movies, she was included in every decision.
