Stephen Curry Reinjures Shin As Golden State Warriors Win In OT

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors left the game against the Denver Nuggets early after reinjuring his left shin. Golden State won the game on Saturday against Denver in overtime, 111-108.

A left shin bruise suffered by Curry during a game against the Sacramento Kings forced him to miss two previous games. He reinjured the shin and left for the locker room in the second quarter.

Curry said the injury happened after his leg made contact with Jameer Nelson of the Denver Nuggets during the second quarter. He added after the game that he was kicked.

Curry said the same shin was injured during the game. He said it got hit at the same spot while playing defense. He added that it’s funny since each time a player plays through some discomfort due to an injury and try to do something on the court, something happens. Curry also said that he will have to deal with it.

The Golden State Warriors was left with six available players after the injury of Curry. The star player of Golden State also praised the overtime victory of his team even with the depleted lineup. He said the odds were against them and the players, who played at least forty minutes, were able to get stops in the game and fight through fatigue. He added that they were also able to make a number of offensive plays to win in overtime.

Stephen Curry said he felt good before the game and that he had a good set of fresh legs. He also said he did not feel compelled to compensate for anything. However, he felt bad he got hit in the same spot.

Curry also said he knew what happened and will simply try to see how it will feel on Monday. He added that it would be good news if it is not as bad as what happened before. The Golden State Warriors will play against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday.
