Taylor Swift Addresses Golden Globe Jabs
Taylor Swift, the pop and country singer took some jabs at comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler after they mocked her love life at this year’s Hollywood Golden Globe’s.
The two comedians took the first jab as they joked about how the singer should stay away from Michael J. Fox’s 23 year old son, as she is famous for adding her personal life into her songs.
Rumors have circulated because of this, linking her to some huge celebrities like John Mayer, Jake Gylenhaal, Taylor Lautner and Joe Jonas. The most recent names to that list were Conor Kennedy and Harry styles from the pop band One Direction.
In an interview for Vanity Fair, the 23 year old Swift responded to the sting with a quote from Katie Couric that said “there’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.”
She said that for a woman to sing in a very personal and confessional way about her life and personal experiences is very hard, made harder still if her honest artistic effort is twisted and turned into something that makes her seem like a desperate, clingy and sometimes insane person.
Taylor Swift also said that it seems a bit sexist, especially as it comes from two other prolific women in the entertainment field.
