Taylor Swift’s New Album Red: An Ode to Her Lost Love
Taylor Swift may be infamous for writing songs inspired by her moments and memories with all his past relationships, but it appears that the entire album she has now written is all about her failed relationship with Hollywood heartthrob Jake Gyllenhaal.
Although her recent number one hit We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is believed to be all about her rocky romance with the actor, the 22-year-old songstress has also managed to refer to him in many of the songs on her new album, Red.
The singer was said to come up with the break-up anthem, to exact revenge on an unnamed lover who belittled her music, and she wanted the song to get as much airplay as possible to annoy him.
She tells USA Today, "It's a definitive portrait of how I felt when I finally stopped caring what my ex thought of me. He made me feel like I wasn't as good or as relevant as these hipster bands he listened to.”
"So I made a song that I knew would absolutely drive him crazy when he heard it on the radio. Not only would it hopefully be played a lot, so that he'd have to hear it, but it's the opposite of the kind of music that he was trying to make me feel inferior to."

When asked why she would want to torment her former boyfriend, she replied: 'Because that's fun.'
