“The Flash” Preview Video Released

A promotional video was released recently showing the upcoming show on the CW Network, “The Flash.” The video, which was shown on the “Arrow” season finale last Wednesday, also gave a preview of the upcoming season of “Arrow.” The video shows the Oliver Queen preparing to shoot an arrow as the speedster comes along.

The television debut of the speedster came in 1990 on CBS but was cancelled after only one season. Industry watchers are hoping that the new series will last longer than a single season. Grant Gustin will play the Flash who appeared on two episodes of “Arrow.” In addition to the “90210” star, Wesley Shipp will also appear on the show. Shipp played the speedster in the 1990 show.

Warner Bros. Television revealed that Ship will have a mystery role in the pilot episode of the show. The show is based on the life of Barry Allen, whose mother was murdered. The death of his mother compelled Barry to become a forensic scientist since he wanted to find the identity of the killer. He is obsessed in solving all cases that is placed in front of him. While working in his lab, a lightning bolt hits a shelf that gave him his superpower that allows him to run across oceans and up on the sides of buildings.

The light-speed powers of the superhero allow him to phase through objects and produce sonic booms when he speeds along. However, his obsession to solve crimes compels him to leave everything else around him. Due to this, the fastest man on Earth is always one step behind.

The show is set to be shown on The CW Network on Tuesdays at 8PM by October. “The Flash” will come before season ten of “Supernatural and will take the place of “The Originals.”
