The Mayan Apocalypse: Today Marks A Year Away from The End of the World
Apocalypse countdown starts now. According to the ancient Mayan Long Count calendar that marked the end of an era, we are one year away from that date, which is December 21, 2012.
Over the years, many predictions were already heard from Native Americans, the Chinese, and Egyptians and from the Irish. However, the Mayan prediction remains to haunt and cause anxiety to people. According to Mayan civilization, through advanced mathematics and astronomy, they have created the most accurate calendar in the world.
One of their predictions that stemmed from a stone tablet involves a solar shift, a Venus transit and violent earthquakes. Further, the number 13 is sacred number for the Mayan’s which represents the 13th Baktun ends on Dec. 21, 2012.
According to Sven Gronemeyer, a Mayan scholar, "The Maya are viewed by many westerners as exotic folks that were supposed to have had some special, secret knowledge." What happens is that our expectations and fears get projected on the Maya calendar."
No matter what predictions were revealed by the Mayan’s, other believers see it as a message of hope for every body. Further, other people commented that no one knows exactly as to when and how the world would end, for there’s only one who knows it all.
