The Seattle Seahawks Acquire Percy Harvin

The Seattle Seahawks have acquired former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin. The deal went through as the Seahawks traded a number of draft picks, even a first rounder, say inside sources.

As the move has not yet been announced or confirmed by any of the two teams, rumors still vary on the real price or number of traded players, however, it is pretty sure that Harvin’s new home will be in Seattle.

Harvin, who has entered the last year of his contract, will give a great deal of value and a new perspective to the Seahawks, alongside sophomore QB Russell Wilson and wide receiver Sidney Rice.

Vikings GM, Rick Speilman initially denied any trade rumores calling Harvin a dynamic player that is essential to the team. However his injury last year and a not so pleasant exchange with Coach Leslie Frazier opened the doors for Harvin, and made the transfer he requested last summer possible.

As the rumors broke, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman tweeted a message regarding Percy Harvin’s shirt number. In Seattle the number 12 is retired as a tribute to the fans who are considered the 12th player.

At the Seattle Seahawks Percy Harvin will be reunited with his former defensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, who worked with Harvin in 2009 and 2010.
