Tiger Woods and former wife Elin Nordegren to become neighbors

Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren will soon become neighbors as the latter is set to buy a beachfront mansion near the golf star's home.

The Palm Beach Post reported yesterday that the 30-year old Nordegren bought a 17,000-square foot home with eight bedrooms located in North Palm Beach.

Tiger Woods said last week that he will be moving into his new home at Jupiter Island, just ten miles from his former wife's new property. Nordegren, a former model, and Woods, divorced in August after a public scandal broke out exposing Woods' extramarital affairs.

The proximity of the former couple may have been arranged to allow visits of their two kids Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel more easily. Tiger Woods has said in a video game launch this week that he remains committed to fulfill his duties as a father.

The golf superstar once had a clean image and enjoyed a reputation as a model sportsman. He took golf to new heights with his dominant play and has so far won 14 major championships, just four short of tying the record set by the great golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.

But his private life debacle and divorce had forced major sponsors to sever their ties with him. He went into a five-month hiatus before returning to competitive golf.

Since then, Tiger Woods has struggled to regain the dominant form he once had, failing to win a tournament since his comeback.

But he said he was refining his game and has made steady progress. He will compete at the Bay Hill Invitational next week. His fans are hoping for the return to form of Tiger Woods.
