Tigers Woods: Star among Stars in Pebble Beach Event
Though it is highly expected that celebrated actors like Bill Murray and well-respected musician Kenny G will definitely catch a lot of attention at Pebble Beach National Pro-Am this week, the golfing spotlight will eventually focus on Tiger Woods, the former world’s number one in the sports.
Woods is eager to be back for the first time in ten years as he also marks his debut appearance on the 2012 PGA Tour.
As recalled, Woods was not successful in winning events in the U.S. circuit since the 2009 BMW Championship, but sports analysts and fans expect that he would triumph on Sunday.
Woods placed third at the Australian Open in November, won the Chevron World Challenge in December and finished third at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship last month.
He had been battling problems with his health for two years which made worsen by his controversial marital issues. The most significant concern for him now is to regain his full health, he said.
The 14-time major league champion said he appreciates being healthy more and added that he had been under health rehabilitation for the last two years.
Also joining the competition this week are Dustin Johnson, who won at Pebble Beach in 2009 and 2010, three-time winner Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington, and Geoff Ogilvy.
